Loose unmounted prints. The majority are amateur snapshot views of people, buildings, street scenes, landscapes and military activities in India, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and throughout the Middle East, but there is also a good collection of views at the Army Fighting Vehicles School at Ahmednagar. Prints 1-8 Views of military vehicles, including tanks and trucks. Print 1 is captioned: 'S.A.& M. School, Ahmednagar ..[?].., Sept 1938'. Prints 9-13 Views of trucks at an R.A.S.C. supply depot in the Middle East. Prints 14-29 Views, probably by a professional photographer, at the Army Fighting Vehicles School at Ahmednagar, showing students being trained in mechanics, both hands-on and in a lecture room, and leisure activities such as football, volleyball, hockey and board games. Print 30 Group portrait: '1st War Course at the Indian Wing F.V.S., 200 students, Ahmednagar, 1940'. Print 31 Group portrait of British and Indian officers, by Bali in 1937. Prints 32-59 Miscellaneous snapshots, including: hunter with dead tigers, dated April 1938; views in Kashmir; nine small commercially produced views in Ceylon, including Colombo; two small commercially produced views in the Middle East (two young girls and a desert scene with camel); views of a snake charmer; Dak Bungalows at Rambagh and Khairwa; a tug-of-war; and a view of the Sind River.
