Description (What the record is about)
-
Copy. Starts 'after the bit abt Mrs Corbett Ashby'. Reminds her that it was agreed in 1914 that nothing would appear in Jus [Suffragi] during the war which could be interpreted as an attack on one nation by another. Mrs Coit is to communicate with Women's Suffrage representatives in Germany, Austria and Hungary, hoping for expression of opinion on German atrocities, which might satisfy France, Italy and Belgium. Points out that the paper is the joint property of the countries in the Alliance, (so cannot afford to condemn in print any one member nation). Manuscript.
