Description (What the record is about)
-
"I had ye Honour of yours on the 14th and reserve your kind wishes to ye lovers till tomorrow when they intend to consumate ..." The writings were sealed last week and Chambre has paid her the £100 which Hill gave her for buying clothes, for which she is very thankful. The £500 is ready in Mr. Powys's hands and Mr. Griffith has notice of it. Should he bring the marriage settlement to London or lay it up at Hawkstone? He will put with the rest the writings he has heard have come for him to Hawkstone.
Joseph and his 4 men have had their intervals of planting.
The ground will take many more.
Chambre will take care to pay the £175 to old Mr. Wingfield when it becomes due.
Mr. John Dicken wishes to know whether Hill had written to Chambre to receive the interest from Sir Edward Leighton. Chambre intends to be with him at the furthest towards the later end of next month.
