Description

President, Sedgley Park School, 1821 - 1836. Born 1765, educated and ordained at Douay, France. He had charge of the mission at Wolverhampton from 1804 until he went to Sedgley Park as President in 1821. Around 1836, it is said the Rev. Blount fell into a state of melancholia where upon it became evident that he was no longer capable of carrying out his duties. He resigned as President, remaining at the Park as a guest. Eventually he moved to Stourbridge to live with his sister where he died in 1838.
