Experimental Shop AST, Para 3: The flight engines would not be received for some considerable time. In view of the delay to this machine, I asked what their programme was for the conversion of the Meteor to take Sapphire engines. They stated that very little on this work to present, but Gloster's had indicated that they might expect engines next spring
