The Lodge of Hengist No. 195 was established in 1770 and met at the New Inn, Pokesdown, Christchurch, Hampshire. The lodge was named the Lodge of Hengist in 1803. In 1851 the lodge moved from Churchdown to Bournemouth, Hampshire, meeting at the Belle Vue Hotel, The Pier. The lodge now meets at Freemasons' Hall, Knole Road, Bournemouth.
