Title
Before World War 1 in Turton, the Field Day procession would follow two set routes which alternated each year. One year the procession went to the vicarage at Overhouses, the next year going in the oposite direction to Turton Tower and Horrobin House. After each procession the children would be given lemonade and buns, and the men would get beer. This photograph was taken after the procession arrived at Horrobin House. Mrs Risby is 6th from right on the front row.
