The group of records includes those of the H.M.C. itself and all its dependent hospitals excepting Winsley Chest Hospital (J3). Some of these hospitals have records dating from their foundation in the 19th century; they have been listed here for convenience and include:-

Melksham Cottage Hospital, later Melksham Hospital
Westbury Cottage Hospital, later Westbury and District Hospital
Westbury Prideaux Hospital
Warminster Cottage Hospital
Warminster Sambourne Hospital, formerly Warminster Union Workhouse
Warminster Isolation Hospital
Warminster, Beckford Orthopaedic Hospital
Trowbridge Joint Isolation Hospital, later St. John's Hospital
Bradford-on-Avon and District Hospital
Bradford-on-Avon Maternity Hospital, later Berryfields Hospital
St. George's Hospital, Semington, formerly Trowbridge and Melksham Union Workhouse
The Committee ceased to exist in 1974, when the Wiltshire Area Health Authority was formed.
