These court records consist mainly of court registers and fee books, and licensing registers. They have been collected by the magistrates courts from various court buildings in the area, and brought together. They are believed to be the last outstanding collection of early records known to exist. They fill some gaps that remained among the registers we already held, as well as adding a new span of dates.
Other existing collections are noted for each petty sessions division through the catalogue.
