Frickley Hall deeds

Deeds of the Aldam family of Warmsworth, previously of Wickersley, and subsequently of Frickley Hall. The deeds were purchased at Frickley Hall sale, but none of them relates to the period when the Aldam family was living at Frickley. An MS. catalogue was compiled by I H Jeayes in 1901. (Purchased 1974). Note: Some of the deeds were retained by the family; photocopies of these have been added to the collection. Records including:

Deeds: Warmsworth Henry III - 1763 (260 - 85 before 1500) (family names include Gervays, Clerkson, Warde, Bawtrie, Broughton); Wickersley Edward I - 1753 (80 - 40 before 1500) (families: de Wickersley, Stree, Eyre); Tickhill (Rodes), Clayton (Hoole and Champneys), 1563-1759 (40); Alverley (11 before 1500); chantry at Lund and Thweng, North Yorkshire (1).

Deeds of families related to Aldam: Parnell and Sampson of Clarborough, Nottinghamshire, tanners; Midford of Newcastle-on-Tyne, master mariners (including shares in ships in 1690s) 17th century (30).
