Our bill is £26. 10s., the bill of parcill he have had long since and aproved of it and sent us a note of hand for £30. which when paid we wheir to pay £3. 10s. to Mr. Court the shew maker and your son left this note at Mr. Bertlet his agent in Warwick Street, London, and he told him that he would ask my Lord and gett some at atime and he desired if he got any that he would pay it to Unkel Edward Man: but I suppose he never asked my Lord, if he had he might have had opertunity enough to have paid it. He might have sent a bank bill for the sum to you for me or his agent could have paid it to my unkel as your son gave him direction. I should be very glad to have it and thank you for your care about it. I have sent the draft for £30. If you think it should be for no more than £26. 10s. pray get Thos. Stiles to draw another but then you must acquaint Mr. Court with it: but as my Lord sent the note for £3. I think it is as well to draw for the same sum but I should be glad if you would please to let Thos. Stiles draw a bill in more form and write my name at the bottom if you think proper."
