This collection consists of records relating to the Society's executive function, and comprises the minute books (almost complete) and associated papers of its principal committees since its foundation in 1824. The collection is also includes the reports, circulars and correspondence of the Chief Secretary and other senior officers (Assistant Secretary, Legal Secretary, Chief Veterinary Officer), and covers policy and action on animal welfare as well as the management of the Society's resources and staff.
