Description

Notes on and transcripts of sources of English history, mainly relating to the Anglo Saxon and medieval periods but including some later material. Written in several hands including some entries by Sir Francis Palgrave, Deputy Keeper of the Public Records, FRS (1789-1861). Included are (fols. 96-142, 171-255) transcripts from MSS and charters in the British Museum (British Library) and from the Cartae Antiquae, Close and Patent Rolls, etc., in the Public Records.
