Annual returns giving names, professions and residence of members of Lodge of Friendship [Moderns] and general correspondence relating to the running of the lodge. Includes a letter to Grand Lodge referring to an act of malice against the Lodge, the constitution of the Lodge, an enquiry concerning registration as a member and relocation of the Lodge. Years 1774, 1775, 1777 - 1783 and 1789 - 1791 are not extant.

Lodge of Friendship was granted a warrant by the Moderns' Grand Lodge to meet at the Bunch of Grapes, Plymouth Dock [now Devonport] as No. 416 on 21 September 1771. The Lodge was consecrated on 30 October 1771. In 1780 the Lodge, renumbered as No. 324, moved to Plymouth, meeting at the Golden Lion, Old Town Street. In 1781 the Lodge was renumbered as No. 325. In 1785 the Lodge returned to Plymouth Dock but relocated to Plymouth in 1800. In 1792 the Lodge was renumbered as No. 268. In 1803 the Lodge relocated back to Plymouth Dock, meeting at the Navy Hotel, Fore Street. When the Moderns' Grand Lodge formed a Union with the Antients' Grand Lodge to form the United Grand Lodge of England in 1813, the Lodge was renumbered as No. 339. In 1832 the Lodge was renumbered as No. 238 and as No. 202 in 1863. The lodge now meets at St. Aubyns Masonic Hall, Devonport Road, Stoke, Plymouth, Devon.
