Description

J. Grant to Richd. How. Enclosing a copy of a letter from Wm. Cowper (Weston Underwood, near Olney) to Fred. Smith (Haymarket, London) 20 Mar. 1792, denying that he ever made a speech in favour of the slave trade & explaining that the only reason he did not sign the petition against it was that it was not brought to him since he was not living in the parish of Olney.
