Description

Part of highway from Ford Mill Street in Little Chart to Bethersden, lying at west side of Surrenden Park, 280 rods [1,540 yards] long, 20 feet wide, to be diverted to new line, through lands of Sir Edward Cholmeley Dering, 250 rods [1,375 yards] long, 20 feet wide.

Public footpath in Little Chart and Pluckley, from a stile at north-east corner of Surrenden Park at Ford Mill Street in Little Chart, southwestward across the park at front of Surrenden House to the Lodge Meadow and the Great Saracens to Jobs Hole at the corner of that field, and into the above highway, 372 rods [2,046 yards] long, to be diverted to new line, 424 rods [2,332 yards] long.

Public footpath from a bend in the road from Westwell and Forstal in Little Chart to Rooting Farm, extending westward across Rooting Farm Yard and Surrenden Park to a stile, thence along the above highway and over the fields called Calves Lodge Meadow and Great Saracens to Jobs Hole, 326 rods [1,793 yards], to be diverted to new line, 267 rods [1,468½ yards] long.

Order: at Saracen's Head Inn, Ashford, 1 March 1823, with plan (scale: 20 ins. to mile), surveyed by Thomas Thurston.

Consent of Cholmeley Dering, guardian of Sir E.C. Dering, 5 February 1823.

Affidavit concerning publication of notices, 11 April 1823.
