In 1821 the Stanwix parish charities were as follows
1. Benson's Charity Founder, Dr Benson (died c. 1726), £50 for poor relief. Interest distributed to poor who are not on relief, 24 December
2. Gowland's Bequest Founder, William Gowland, for poor, by will 1792; never received
3. Graham's Charity. Founder, Monkhouse Graham, by will 1805. Interest on £100 to be distributed in bread on 24 December to the poor "without distinction of communions". In 1821 it was distributed in bread to working poor (not on relief) on Good Friday and 24 December
