Description

Volume containing copies of transcripts, notes of proceedings and the judgement of cases before the Royal Courts of Justice, Chancery Division between The Salt Union Limited and Dorman Long & Bell Brothers Limited.
The case was brought by The Salt Union, who claimed to be entitled to waste heat from blast furnaces at the Clarence Iron Works, which they would use in the process of making salt from brine. The case was originally brought against Bell Brothers, but following their liquidation and transfer of their undertakings, the case was lodged with joint defendants Bells and Dormans.
