Description (What the record is about)
-
In Silena's hand. Mainly concerned with winding up his father's estate, & other financial & business affairs. Many of the letters are attempts to rid himself of her father's creditors. The City of London Lay Stalls occupy much space : they were held on lease by Richd. How 1 & managed by E. Fogg; Richd. II sold the lease to Fogg. There are a few family letters (e.g. to his uncle Herman Hingsberg), but these again are mainly concerned with financial affairs. The correspondents' names are included in the index.
