Chorleywood Urban District was created from part of Watford Rural District by a County Council Order [no.389], dated 5 February, 1912. [For plan of proposed district, 1911, see Off Acc 799 (HCC)]. Under the Local Government Act of 1972, Chorleywood Urban District became part of the new Three Rivers District.
