Description

The following summary of engine behaviour (12 - 22 October 1953) in the above aircraft during the last 11 flights, including the flights to and from Switzerland and the demonstration for the Swiss Government. Conclusions: The fuel system on the Sapphire Sa.6 engine in the Hunter WB.202, has deteriorated during recent flights and in its present form exhibits several undesirable, and two dangerous features. See items 3 and 4 of this conclusion
