'Augmented Scale of Soundings between the meridians of the Lizard and that of the Start shewing [showing] the impossibility of getting upon or near the Eddystone Whilst the depth of water continues above 42 fathoms’. Survey shows coastline, hydrography, lighthouse (Eddystone), preferred naviagble channel, topography, settlements, land marks, sight lines, remarks and explanatory key. Includes illustrations of ships. Colour manuscript. Watermark: 'J Whatman 1818'. Latitude and longitude indicated; no scale shown. ‘Copied from the Survey of Capt [Captain] M [Martin] White by Henry M [Mangles] Denham Assistant Surveyor'; signed: 'Martin White Captain RN [Royal Navy]'.
