Title
Gas Light: Parliamentary Contest. (I)
Date
1808 - 1809
Description

The contents of this file were formerly in a portfolio entitled:
"I Gas Light Parliamy. Contest"
This is the title recorded in the Inventory compiled at the Assay Office in 1921, but unfortunately the portfolio was subsequently discarded. Under Matthew Robinson Boulton's arrangement the file was placed in Box H. I, but by 1921 it had been moved (inadvertently, it appears) to Box M. III.
The documents are arranged in chronological order, in so far as their dates have been established or conjectured. In the following List, the summaries in quotation-marks are taken from the contemporary dockets.
