Collection of loose prints. Views mainly in Tibet with additional miscellaneous portraits and views and some personal papers of Harry Brooks relating to his membership of the freemasons and discharge from army service. The Tibetan photographs should be compared with those at Photo 305, to which there is a marked resemblance. The catalogue notes for that album suggest that they may be the work of Henry Martin, who manned the telegraph line in Tibet after the Younghusband Expedition; however, although one of the prints in this collection is signed 'HM', the majority are signed, 'JG', an as yet unidentified photographer. Prints 1-8 Portraits of Europeans including a picnic scene, an officer with Indian troops and a baby in a pram. Print 9 Snowy peak, Tibet.
