These interviews were recorded by Charles Parker for the Welsh Tinplate Labour Trust Junior Fellowship. This project compared attitudes in South Wales during industrial action in 1926 and 1975-1976. Many of these interviews were recorded in Maerdy, Rhondda, apart from the interviews with Jock Kane, which were recorded in Armthorpe, Yorkshire.
