Two 50 horse power side lever boat engines, with 39½ inch cylinders, 3½ foot strokes. Boat re-named Sprightly 1837.Sketch section and plan of boiler, May 1824; sketches of headstock frame and plan and sections of boiler sent by James Brown, 4 Aug. 1824; pencil sketches of Maudslay's boiler and headstocks.

For H. M. Post Office, Holyhead station. Harlequin was built by Wigram & Green of Blackwall, and originally worked from the Milford station. Boulton Watt & Co.'s engines, fitted in 1830, replaced the original engines made by Maudslay Sons & Field. She was re-named Sprightly in 1837 when the Navy took over the Post Office packet fleet.
