Description

9th May 1839. Letter from George Griffith at Chester to the Mayor, and Council, offering himself for the post of Market Looker to be filled that day.

11th Oct. 1839. Copy letter from J Larden Bromfield to the Mayor. Mr. Snape, the Clerk of the Peace of the city, having expressed his determination to cancel the present appointment of his deputy and offering him that post or should the writer meet with their approbation, resigning the office of Clerk of the Peace, Larden Bromfield makes application.

[1839] Draft affidavit re serving a petition preferred in the Exchequer at Westminster in the matter of the Chester & Crewe Railway Acts.
