Although Knoedler's staff appeared to have used folders to organise these records, very little of the original order remained when this archive was acquired. Therefore, the following was carried out during the cataloguing process:
-files have been arranged chronologically by date of the exhibition
-locations and titles of the exhibitions have been taken from Knoedler's records, or from the accompanying published exhibition catalogues
-complete exhibition catalogues without annotations have been added to the Centre's Library collection and a link to the relevant catalogue entry has been included in the descriptions in this series
