Ten glass-slides illustrating early sewing machines, taken from an article on "The Sewing Machine" in "The Tailor and Cutter", January 1919, and two archives belonging to the depositor's ancestor, Moses Sclare, an immigrant from Odessa who became an officer in the Engineer's Society of Glasgow, and later in 1906, the organiser and secretary of the Leeds Jewish Tailors.
