The maximum high altitude performance of the Jindivik can be obtained by using booster rockets in conjunction with the proposed Bristol Siddeley Viper 20 engine. Two propulsion units are proposed, one for boosting the climb to maximum altitude and the other for sustaining altitude during cruise. If desired both units may be started simultaneously. Apart from the combustion chambers, which are of different sizes, the units are identical. Pages 3 and 4 cover the development programme over a four-year period and any subsequent development which may continue at the end of that period. Page 5 covers to projected cost up to year six
