Wm. Price has done the side walls of the vault and is preparing flags.

The carpenters will turn the arch next week and will lay good bearers across the entrance.

The best place for a new pond would be near Burrey's old house, and he gives an account of the drainage. The water from Ashwell, conveyed by drain under the avenue, will water the meadows below or can be conveyed for water-works in the parterre garden.

He gives his opinion on the best way of repairing the lane from Hawkstone to Marchamley.

Abreham Ikyn his wife and mother have executed deeds of lease and release to Mr. Manlove to make him tenant to the Recovery.
