Inscription

The collection of Documents, Deeds, Accounts etc: contained in this Book were taken from a chest in the Vestry of Tawstock Church in 1926 where they had lain hidden for a number of years and had suffered much from damp and depradations of mice.

Only a few of the most interesting and antique are included, as several Books of this size would be required to mount them all and also a very great many of them would be duplicate.

Those that are not shewn in this Book have been carefully sorted and replaced in the Vestry for safe keeping.
