Concerning the invitation which Charles has received to be a member of the Oddfellows Club of High Wycombe 13 Jan; possible vacancy in the post office - cannot help in recommending a successor 'as we can ask no favours of the Government' 9 Feb; election advice - 'an attempt at the County tho' now certain of success at the expense of £10,000 can no longer be thought of. I have the strongest belief in the result of Wycombe' 15 Feb; the presenting of petitions 19,26 Feb; 'I have no objection to a small supper for the Prince of Wales' 26 Feb
