Plan of The Manor of Langport Westover In the County of Somerset Belonging to Thos. Grosvenor Esqr. Surveyed by B. Pryce; of Salisbury 1777.
Approx. 23" to 1 mile O.S. sheet 72NE
[Scale of 3½ chains to 1"]
Ink and water colour on linen backed paper.
Fields, etc., named and numbered, and coloured with reference to a survey taking up approximately half the area of the document. Gates and fences shown. Turnpike toll gate, pound and pound house shown. Broadbow Bridge shown in perspective. Survey lists types of land tenure, denoted by various colours on the map, and gives the names of landowners and lessees, together with the names and acreages of the properties they hold. Acreages of Portmoor (common )p sture, roads and waste also given. The survey gives, in addition, an account of the beast leazes in Portmoor.
