Lancaster SW.342 (ASZ.107 & AS.Sa.1) Single Mamba icing tests, engine stalled; Adder ground run of re-heat unsuccessful. Balliol VL.892 (ASZ.110) Flying at ETPS without trouble. Marathon VX.231 (ASZ.117/127) NTR. Dakota KJ.839 (ASZ.167/168) JPT control OK. Apollo G-AIYN (ASZ.121/122/124/134) No flight tests this week. Gannet VR.546 (DM.204) 30-hour airframe inspection has been completed and tests will now continue. Gannet VR.557 (DM.210) Armament trials completed. Fire in engine bay. Gannet WE.488 Awaiting delivery of DM.205. Blackburn WB.797 (DM.209) 120-hour inspection completed and a test flight made. Wyvern VW.868 (DM.115) PCU flight handling tests up to 435 knots. Wyvern VW.882 (ASP.163) 30-hour airframe inspection completed. Other Wyverns: Wyvern VZ.745 (Mk.1 aircraft) is to continue the intensive flight programme and not Wyvern VW.871 (Mk.III). Wyvern VZ.746 flown with acceleration-sensitive PCU without trouble. Lancastrian VM.733 on major inspection. Canberra WD.933 (AS.Sa.115/119) Port engine had to be removed, will be replaced with Sa.114. Meteor WA.820 (AS.Sa.105/108) Two further trouble-free flights at CFE West Raynham. Gloster WD.804 (AS.Sa.129/130) 60-hour inspection nearing completion. Flying times for all aircraft on Page 4
