From: Thomas Goldstone, III, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory; the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory To: John hay, deceased; Isabel, wife of John hay, deceased; Thomas Wellys, deceased; Joan, wife of Thomas Wellys, deceased; John Challey, chaplain ('Capellanus'), deceased; Joan Challey, deceased; John Challey; Elizabeth, wife of John Challey; Thomas Challey; Joan, wife ('conchoralis') of Thomas Challey [Document damaged. Large area of text lost or illegible. Sense unclear in places. Some names and other details supplied from registered version.] The priory admits those who have died to the spiritual benefits for specifal benefactors and brothers of the chapter, and admits those who are still living to full confraternity. The grant is made in recognition of John Challey's devotion to St Thomas Becket. Given at the chapter house of Canterbury Cathedral Priory.
