1046. Thomas Harrison & Sons, Stalybridge (OC). Jun., Jul. 1832. 3 items.
60 horse power side lever boat engine for land, with 42 inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke.

Direct copy longitudinal section of the engine house, plan of the engine; reverse longitudinal section of the engine house, plan of the engine, transverse section of the engine house, plan of the tunnel and covering stones. All the drawings bear letter codes.

Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 858. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 208.

For Thomas Harrison & Sons. Cotton mill, Stalybridge, Cheshire. The firm had previously bought an 80 horse crank engine in 1823 [see Portfolio 5/485] and a 40 horse boat engine for land in 1831 [see Portfolio 5/1042].
