9 John Alchorne of Loose, gentleman, by election of Justices, to be Treasurer of lathes of Aylesford, Sutton-at-Hone, and the seven hundreds of Scray for Maimed Soldiers.
10 Joan Syncco, widow, to keep victualling no longer.
11 Robert Bourchett of Staplehurst, clothier, to be bound with sureties for good behaviour from sessions to sessions for seven years, if in the mean time he does not bring a certificate from his neighbours of his amendment of life.
12 Richard Tetterden of Loose, butcher, Michael Honney of Boughton, butcher, and John Honney of the same, butcher, to be bound for good behaviour; and attachment to be awarded against them because they departed the court without performing the order.

Special session of the peace at Maidstone, on 16th May, 1600, before Thomas Fludd, and John Leveson, knights, William Sedley, Laurence Wasshington and John Rychers, esqs. and others.
The Jurors, Salomon Ware, Richard Day, Richard Rode, Mathew Rode, William Johnson, Edward Combe, Richard Sculthorpe, John Trendale, John Polley, Henry Fetherstone, John Heath or Baker, Thomas Dorman, Thomas Collyns, Nicholas Maunser and William Nordyshe present that, in accordance with statute made in Parliament on 12th January, 1562/3, Surveyors of the Highways in each parish should be elected each year in the week after Easter to care for the roads; and that Joseph Byrchett and
Edward Batherst of Goudhurst, gentlemen, were duly elected surveyors of Goudhurst on Tuesday in Easter week, [10th April, 1599], by Laurence Sharpe and Thomas Austen, Guardians [of the Poor] and John Horsemonden, Constable of the Hundred of Marden; and that although various highways in Goudhurst between Cranbrook and Brenchley, and between Tonbridge and Cranbrook, badly needed repair, the surveyors refused to repair them.
Ordered that Joan Syncoo, widow, shall keep victualling in Goudhurst until Michaelmas next, and stand on her former sureties.
Ordered that Richard Besbeche of Goudhurst shall keep victualling no more, in Goudhurst or elsewhere.
