Deeds of the Swifts of Nabbs Hall in Silkstone and their successors. (Deposited 1965). Records including:
Manor: Silkstone court roll 1693 (single paper); list of manorial lords, late 19th century.
Deeds: Silkstone (including the manor and Nabbs), Thurlstone (Bankhouse and Bank bottom), Hunshelf, Thurgoland including coal rights (1716), c1537-1900 (70); leases to Barnsley Chemical Co. and Yorkshire Coal and Trading Co. 1915-1935.
Estate: Silkstone rentals, 16th century (one), 1760-1824 and purchase of manorial rents 1862.
Papers re Hunshelf, Whitley and Emley inclosures 1792-1824. Tenant right valuation at Bank bottom, 1861.
