Copy of a letter from J. Backhouse and Company to Messrs Barclay and Company. In the letter Backhouse ask Barclay and Co. to join with them and become Bankers to Dorman Long following their proposal to convert to a limited company with a capital of £350,000. It is noted at the foot of the page that this copy of the letter had been 'extracted from an old copy letter book, holograph'. (a copy of this letter can be found in Print Book No.1 BS/DL/7/3/1/1)
