Agreement for the lease of ironstone under certain lands situate in the Gripps House Estate in Brotton, Cleveland between;
1) Anthony Charles Hutton Maynard Esq., Henry Easterby Maynard Esq., Edmund Gilling Maynard Esq. and Margaret Elizabeth Maynard
2) Bell Brothers Limited
for a term of 10 years for the rents of £10 a year and equivalent in ironstone and 3 1/2 pence per ton of twentyhundredweight, with conditions. Includes plan. With report of inspection of surface by Mr Mossman, Mr D. W. Dixon and Mr F. W. Kirby dated 8 Dec 1909 with plan and letter from E. Maindlin, Rigwood, Saltburn to A. L. Steoreusen, Durham dated 9 Feb 1910 regarding tracings for leased land. Also includes typescript part of indenture for Bell Brothers to assign their interest to Dorman Long and Company Limited dated 1 May 1923. -
