Note that Thomas Lord Dacre in his will made 1 Sept. 1531, and proved P.C.C. 18 May 1534, appointed the profits of certain manors and lands in cos. Suffolk and Sussex to the performance of his testament, and appointed the rest of his manors and lands to be taken by his exors. till Thomas Fenys his cousin and heir come of age. He also devised all manors, including Frome Quintyn, in England (except certain lands in cos. Essex, Sussex and Norfolk given to his younger sons) to Thomas Fenys his cousin and heir and his male heirs, remainder to John Fenys, the devisor's s., remainder to Thomas his youngest s., remainder to Thomas the cousin and heir, remainder to Anne Fenys, d. of Sir Thomas, his eldest s., remainder to the said John, remainder to Thomas the youngest s., remainder to Henry Norrys, s. of Mary, the devisor's d., remainder to Mary Norrys, sister of Henry, remainder to Gyles Fenys his cousin, remainder to the heirs of Sir Thomas Fenys, the devisor's uncle, remainder to his cousin Thomas John Fenys and his heirs for ever.

Note that a fine (on fo. 34 which is missing) was levied of the Manors of Frome Quynton, and Evershotte and of lands in Frome Quinton, Bell and Chetwell als. Bell Chaldwell [Belchalwill], and advowsons of the churches of Frome Quinton and Evershott, co. Dorset, the use of the fine being expressed in letters patent (see fos. 61r-75v).
