Administrative / biographical background

Gordon Thomas Griffith was born around 1912. After serving as an engineering apprentice at Heenan and Froude, Shrub Hill, Worcester, he worked for nine years at James Archdale & Co, also in Worcester. From May 1942, he worked in Malvern for Flight Refuelling Limited and then for the Royal Radar Establishment, later the Royal Signals and Radar Establishment, and its predecessors, also in Malvern, for thirty years. After recovering from meningitis in 1973, he worked in the RRE health and safety section until he retired.
