Rutland, esq., to William Walter of the same, grazier: a house and homestead, a close called Peartree Close, 2 closes called Walters Upper Close and Walters Nether Close in LINDEN, excepting all timber, trees, woods and underwoods other than hedgeboot and stakeboot: to hold, free of tithe and tax, from 21st December last past for term of 15 years, paying yearly rent of £25:16s:0d. at midsummer and feast of St. Thomas by equal portions, and £5 for every acre ploughed up without lessor's consent in writing:(etc.)
