The present parish includes the chapelry of Binderton. The chapelry survived until the middle of the seventeenth century, and was then absorbed into West Dean parish. For the few surviving records (mainly civil) see Par/66. The civil parish of Binderton was united with West Dean in 1933.
There was a chapel at Chilgrove and this also was abandoned in the seventeenth century.
