- The covers of the minute books had suffered badly from damp. Some were already missing and the remainder were removed in April 1988

The society was established in 1905 and is now a sub-branch of Cambridge Co-operative Society. Mr Chessum, manager of the Potton branch, gave the records to Potton History Society in c.1983.
