This section contains material relating to the illness and death of Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury including correspondence, newscuttings and tributes to Taylor Cadbury which were featured in publications produced by the many societies with which she was involved throughout her lifetime.
Taylor Cadbury's death was widely reported in local and national newspapers across the country. This section includes a number of illustrated tributes commemorating her life and work which were featured in the press. In addition, the section contains letters written by many of Taylor Cadbury's close friends and those associated with her through her philanthropic endeavours remarking on her significance in their lives.
The section also includes a copy of the printed programme of the Memorial Service held to commemorate Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's death. A memorial edition of the Bournville Works Magazine which was published to commemorate Taylor Cadbury's long association with Bournville is also featured, providing an insight into her important contribution to the lives of workers and residents in the village.

Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury died aged ninety two at her home, the Manor House in Northfield, on 4th December 1951 after suffering a cerebral thrombosis on 28th November 1951. A Memorial Service was held for Taylor Cadbury in Bournville on 16th December 1951 featuring tributes from her friends and colleagues and hymn singing led by local choirs, including the pupils of the Bournville Village Schools.
