- Correspondence and papers relating to the price of stone and repairs at Tissington Hall, 1816. (D239 M/E 4543-47)

- William Johnson from Tissington to Sir Henry FitzHerbert: the mare has foaled a fine colt; the hay harvest is very promising; "Ashbourne fair was the worst fair I ever saw. There was good new calv'd cows at eight pounds and lambs at ten shillings per lamb, and fat sheep at five pence per 1b ...." 3 or 8 July 1821 (D239 M/E 4550)

- William Johnson from Tissington to Sir Henry FitzHerbert in London, reporting on quantities of butter made. 26 October 1823 (D239 M/E 4551)

- James Hardy to Sir Henry FitzHerbert in London: reports accidental damage to one of the pillars at the entrance to the avenue; high winds have caused damage to the Hall. 18 December 1823 (D239 M/E 4553)

- William Johnson to Sir Henry FitzHerbert at West Farleigh; two of the Austin family from Hanging Bridge have been caught fishing in Dovedale with over 60 night lines. 12 May 1830. (D239 M/E 4574)

- James Hardy to Sir Henry FitzHerbert at West Farleigh; reports the death of John Frith - "he drest his well for Holy Thursday in a very nice and masterly manner and the inscription wrote upon it was 'Ascension: Be of good cheer; it is I, be not afraid'"; the rebuilding of Bentley bridge makes progress; "the Cromford Railway Company sent 90 ton of coal up to Newhaven yesterday ... with a band of music [and] banners". 1 June 1830.
