Description

Mortgage for £200 by deed to lead the uses of a fine (1) Henry New of Westcott, in Burbage, yeoman, and Ann, his wife, and Thomas New of Westcott, yeoman, (son and heir of said Henry), (2) Thomas Hancocke of Marlborough, grocer, (3) Robert Hancocke of Devizes, maltster.

Several closes and enclosed grounds situate at Westcott and Burbage, i.e. Mawfries (2a.1r.), Flexfield (1a.), Westcott Severall (2a.) and parcels of land in Rudd Mead (1a.1r.) West Clay (5a.3r.) and Mann Heath (4a.3r.20 lugs).

(1) to levy fine to (3) to various uses, one of them being a term of 500 years to the use of (2) with a proviso for rendering this void if Henry New repays the £200.

Also Bond in £400, Henry and Thomas New to Thomas Hancocke, for performance of covenants contained in above mortgage, same date.
