Agenda papers including, amongst other things:

- communications from Ministry of Home Security regarding: comforts for Civil Defence services; air raid shelters; Shelterer's Campaign to alleviate discomforts of shelter dwellers during winter;

- Fire Services Information Bulletin;

- Defence (December Bank Holidays) Regulations 1940;

- communications from Senior Regional Officer regarding: explosive incendiary bombs; identification of unexploded bombs and parachute mines; co-operation with military authorities; small yellow unexploded bombs; assistance to RAF Stations; provision for two public shelters on Bank Buildings site, High Street, Bedford and Island Site, St.Loyes, Bedford; use of basement of 61 High Street, Bedford as public air raid shelter;

- communications from Ministry of Health regarding: Government Evacuation Scheme; use of Air Raid Precautions ambulances; accommodation of persons rendered homeless outside London; appointment of Social Workers; reserve hospital accommodation at Silver Jubilee School, Bedford; withdrawal of Luton Public Assistance Institution from Emergency Hospital Scheme;

- damage to Cauldwell Street Methodist First Aid Party Depot by enemy action;

- use of Harlington Manor as Wardens' Post;

- Wardens' Post at Pyghtle Farm, 26 Station Road, Tempsford;

- report on Air Raid Precautions in Podington;

- Northfields Council Senior School, Dunstable shelters;

- use of Leighton Buzzard Cleansing Station by boys of William Ellis Secondary School, London;

- relief of homeless and destitute persons in Leighton Buzzard;

- accommodation for refugees from air attack.
